About Susanna: Your Partner in Food Freedom
I Understand What You’re Going Through—And I’m Here to Help
Hi, I’m Susanna Fall, a registered Nutritional Therapist and Pharmacist. I work with individuals who struggle with eating disorders, disordered eating, and complex relationships with food and their bodies. These challenges often leave them feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and stuck in cycles of guilt and shame. Many of my clients come to me feeling powerless, confused by mixed messages about food and diets, and unsure of how to break free from patterns like binge eating, emotional eating, or yo-yo dieting.
I know how hard it can be to feel at war with food and your body—I’ve been there myself. That’s why I’m passionate about helping others find freedom and peace. I typically work with clients for 3 to 6 months, during which we focus on rebuilding their relationship with food and their bodies. By the end of our time together, they feel more in control of their eating habits, empowered to make choices that align with their goals, and freed from the constant ‘food noise’ that once dominated their thoughts. They also report feeling more comfortable in their bodies and confident in their ability to maintain these changes long-term.
If you’re feeling stuck in a cycle of emotional eating, binge eating, or constant dieting, I want you to know this: you’re not alone, and it’s not your fault. I’ve been where you are, and I know how overwhelming it can feel to struggle with food and your body. That’s why I’ve dedicated my career to helping people like you find freedom, balance, and confidence with food—without guilt, shame, or restriction.
My Story
I know what it’s like to feel trapped in a cycle of food struggles, weight concerns, and self-doubt. From a young age, I battled emotional eating and obesity, which took a toll on my self-esteem, health, and overall well-being. Like many of my clients, I was put on countless diets by doctors and dietitians who believed the solution was simply to restrict my food intake. But instead of helping, these diets only strained my relationship with food and my body even further. Each cycle of dieting left me feeling more out of control, more ashamed, and more convinced that there was something inherently wrong with me.
During my university years, I managed to lose over 20 kilograms in just a few months by drastically restricting my food intake and over-exercising. At first, the compliments and positive feedback from others reinforced the idea that I was finally doing something ‘right.’ But what started as a diet quickly spiraled out of control. I found it nearly impossible to re-establish a balanced relationship with food, exercise, and my body. It took years of trial and error—and a lot of self-compassion—to finally find a sense of balance and peace. Looking back, I wish I’d had someone to guide me through that journey with understanding and support.
When I began working as a pharmacist in the UK, I saw how weight struggles and disordered eating patterns were often at the root of my patients’ health challenges. Many were left to navigate these issues on their own, with little guidance or support from an overwhelmed healthcare system. This inspired me to study nutrition and become a registered nutritionist. My mission is to help people who are going through what I went through—but with a structured, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach that I didn’t have access to back then.
Now, I combine my personal healing journey with my professional training and clinical experience to guide others toward a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food and their bodies. My approach is rooted in empathy and understanding because I know what it’s like to live in your shoes. You don’t have to do this alone—I’m here to help you every step of the way.
My Approach:
I don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I work with you to create a personalised plan that fits your lifestyle, goals, and unique relationship with food. My approach is rooted in behavioural work and evidence-based nutrition, focusing on small, manageable steps that build on your strengths rather than banning foods or imposing strict rules.
We’ll work on two parallel tracks:
- Nutrition: We’ll focus on balancing your meals to reduce cravings, stabilise mood fluctuations, and increase energy levels. This includes appetite retraining to help you reconnect with your hunger cues and distinguish them from emotional cravings.
- Behavioural Changes: We’ll explore the emotional and psychological triggers behind your eating habits, breaking the cycle of emotional eating and finding healthier ways to cope that don’t involve food.
Together, we’ll:
- Break myths and misconceptions about food and diets, replacing them with evidence-based nutritional knowledge.
- Develop healthier patterns around food, one step at a time, so you can feel in control and confident without guilt or restriction.
- Address emotional triggers and create sustainable strategies to manage stress, boredom, or other emotions without turning to food.
By combining balanced nutrition with coaching and behavioural changes, my goal is to help you feel empowered, in control, and at peace with food and your body. Whether you’re struggling with binge eating, bulimia, emotional eating, or simply want to feel better in your body, I’m here to guide you every step of the way
